MM House Residence and its guest house are perfectly situated in Playa Grande, Guanacaste, in close proximity to the breathtaking Marino Las Baulas Marine Park. This architectural project has been meticulously conceived and designed to be a unique retreat in an exceptional natural setting.
Project Description: Harmony with the Environment
MM House Residence is a work that is based on the premise of integration with the surrounding nature. Its volumetry is founded on the creation of separate spaces, where privacy between them is paramount. This arrangement allows residents to immerse themselves in the nature of the surrounding Natural Park and, at the same time, offers the opportunity to get lost in its beauty.
Design Concept: Embracing Nature
The design of the house is characterized by its openness and connectivity with the lush tropical vegetation that surrounds it. Each room opens up to its private terrace, immersing residents in nature. A network of pergolas connects the different areas of the house, providing a pathway that traverses the garden and creates a sense of continuity with the natural environment.
Design Analysis: Versatile Common Spaces
The common spaces in MM House Residence are generous and versatile. They are designed to adapt to the changing climatic conditions of the region, providing shelter both during the dry and hot seasons and in periods of constant rainfall. This versatility ensures that the common spaces can be used at any time of the year, giving residents the freedom to enjoy nature in all its splendor.
Integrated Sustainability: Respecting the Natural Flora
A fundamental aspect of the design was the preservation of the natural trees on the site. The design was carefully carried out, taking advantage of the natural clearings between the trees, minimizing environmental impact and ensuring the conservation of the natural environment.
